Update.

So… It’s been a super long time. I promise I’ll get better at this whole blogging thing. But for now, here’s a quick update.

Mark just changed his major to Web Design. He’ll still graduate at the same time, except now he has to do one more internship. We will both graduate in July 2013 and are very excited (and scared out of our minds) for what’s next in our lives!

Our son is doing very well. He’s almost a year old, wakes us up every night and morning, and talks all the time. He’s also a cat.

We took a ridiculous road trip this summer. One to Georgia and back to visit and support my mourning parents over the death of my grandma, and to record at Dreamlab Productions. We also went to California for a family reunion with Mark’s family. We also made other stops such as Nauvoo, IL and West Frankfort, IL. We had a fabulous summer, but are pretty sick of traveling (we spent about 100 hours in the car… I counted).

Oh and btw, I hate Nebraska. It’s long, boring, and stupid. And pointless.

I’ve been working at Pizza Hut, which I surprisingly love. Mark’s still working at the Faculty Technology Center, and is currently starting his search for a job for when we’re out of school.

Marriage is wonderful! Our first year had high and low points, but I’m happy to say that our high points are more common than the low these last few months. I think we’re finally starting to figure out this whole marriage thing! Here’s a few key points we’ve learned:

1. It’s better to be happy than to be right.

2. Using “I” statements rather than “you” statements make all the difference in the tone of a conversation/argument.

3. It’s so much easier to be happy when you choose to be happy. Duh?

Anyway, life is great, and we are happier than ever. Excited for this holiday season (which we will be spending in Rexburg, ID). We’ll continue you keep you all posted.

Love, The McCanns
